Fire Fighters Visit

Today we had a visit from two fire fighters, Olly and Dion.

They taught us where to put a candle if the power goes out, so it doesn't catch fire to anything.

Things not to do with a candle;
If you walk underneath some dry washing on the line, with a candle in your hand the washing could catch on fire, SO DON'T DO IT! If you go to grab a book with the candle in your hand do not place it next to the books, hold it away from the books.

Things to do with candles;
If you are having dinner at the table place the candle in the middle not close to any papers. When you go to brush your teeth, put the candle on the bench, not on the floor. If you leave the room do not leave the candle in there alone because it could cause a fire!

We also had a fire drill where they shook a black blanket over our heads and we had crawl under it to get out, we met out at the meeting point (the court) after we left the class room.
